Cutting, splitting off, grinding and elaborately knitting Madake (Japanese timber bamboo). This is a traditional craft that showcases indigenous handcraft skills that have been passed down for generations in the Katsuyama area. These were originally made for agricultural tools and daily life. They practically bear the hallmarks. The sweet smell of Madake makes you relax.
